What do you want to know?: Me

I’m always at a loss when it comes to filling out bios and profiles. What is interesting enough to share? What makes readers want to run on to the next person in line?

Because of this, my profiles tend to be pretty minimal. Today, however is your chance to help me fill in the gaps. Ask me anything you’d like to know about me.

  1. Okay…I'll bite! What got you into making artisan soap? What is the background of you creating such slippery, soapy pleasures?

  2. The main reason I started making soap is because I have sensitive skin. I was unhappy with how most commercial soaps made my skin feel. The natural soaps that my skin liked were either really expensive or required trips out of my way to specialty stores to pick them up. (This was before I was online.) Since I'm always up for trying something new, I decided to research and make my own soap. Not only is it fun and more convenient for me, I love having complete control over what goes into my soap.As for selling soap, I know how much healthier my skin and hair are using handmade soap and how frustrating it was searching for something that worked for me. I like the idea that I might be helping someone else to finally find a soap that makes their skin happy, too.Besides, I don't really have a choice. To me, the soap-making process is relaxing, not to mention very fun to watch. (Really, I mix oil with a highly caustic substance and I get something that is amazing for your skin and a basic necessity–how cool is that?) I also love trying new scents and formulas. If I didn't sell it, my house would be (even more) overrun with my soaps. 😉

  3. Oh, and thanks for asking!
